The Story is Still currently revealing itself in beautiful ways and we will continue to update this record of ceremony & witnessing in complete transparency, with good mind, spirit, heart, and to acknowledge the work being engaged in by Matthew Wickey, Executive Director/Skipper Salish Sea Voyaging Society and Ryan Wiegel, Kaigani Haida and in consult with Tribal Elders and Advisory Council.

Below are email correspondence detailing the reasons behind the renaming of our organization and our primary program voyaging canoe, the first we came into stewardship of, formerly known as Kaigani.

In May 2023 Uncle Kimokeo will rebless our wa'a with a new name. We will share this name in a separate blog post and update.
